Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Hound of the Buskervilles is an acoustic jam-folk ensemble with an eclectic repertoire that draws on influences from throughout the English-speaking world. Personnel: Dan Boone (mandolin); Eddie Hysinger (harp); Phil Ragland (lead guitar); Marty Rosen (vocals and guitar).
Here at Hound Headquarters, one of our favorite singer-songwriters is Massachusetts-based Mark Erelli. You can check him out at www.markerelli.com.
And you can hear Mark's "Wyoming Wind" in a live √Buskervilles Duo recording (featuring Dan and Marty, recorded Saturday night) by clicking below. We're taking votes on which of these handsome blokes is Dan and which is Marty....
We'll be posting some quartet recordings soon. Sign up for Buskervilles Express email alerts if you want to keep up with all things Hound. It's free, after all.
Hound of the Buskervilles at The Monkey Wrench. Friday, March 6.
We'll pay musical tribute to Edward Abbey.
The kitchen (now helmed by Lil Cheezers food truck founder Matt Davis), will pay tribute to America's pub food tradition with a menu that includes burgers, barbecue, and beer-battered cod - as well as chili, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and a tater tot or two.
